This course is intended to provide the understanding of basic principles of blood drawing, practicing blood draw on artificial arm, identification of color coded tubes, common sites of venipuncture and skin puncture, universal precut (Precautions) and isolation techniques and handling the specimens for accurate results.
EKG & Phlebotomy Technician Job Responsibilities:
After receiving your Phlebotomy EKG Certification and subsequent license by the NHA, as a phlebotomist technician, you will expect to work under the direction of a physician, pathologist or laboratory supervisor and will draw blood, process the sample, identify the patient and transport the sample to the laboratory (test area).
