Description:
This course is intended to train the students in understanding the techniques and operation of accurate EKG recording. It also teaches the basic principles of electropysiology of heart and recognizing the waveforms of electrocardiograph. The course covers medical terminology and medical law and helps the students to take the national certification exam for electrocardiograph technician.

Job Responsibilities:
An EKG technician working under the direction of a Cardiologist, Internist and/or Surgeon, is responsible for performing routine EKG's. Job also includes preparing the patient for Testing, operating EKG machine and recording the standard 12 - lead EKG.

Job Market:
After successful completion of the course the students will be eligible for employment in Physician Offices, Laboratories, Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Senior Assisted Living Care, Long Term Care Homes, etc.
